Had a little accident

It's been while, but I have good reason. On April 21st I broke my ankle:( I fell in the backyard and broke it in 3 places. Had to have surgery and about 6 weeks of recovery time. I'm about a week away from walking, so I'm getting close! I'll check in later when I'm back on my feet.

Cookies

I made these for our Life Group picnic last weekend and I was so happy with how they turned out. I really wanted a "Go-To" recipe for cut out cookies and icing and I found it! They are great for holidays or special occasions, and the kids love to help. We are making them again this weekend for Easter!

9 Months Old!

Anna, you're 9 months old, and keeping mommy very busy! You are just such a wonderful part of this family! Here's what you're up to:

• You are such a good baby. I take you with me just about everywhere and you are always so content!
  
• You are getting very curious. You always want to know what brother and sister are doing.
  
• You still have no interest in baby food and I suppose you'll just skip it all together. I'm still your main source of food but you also LOVE Cheerios and puffs.
• You don't sit up yet. You were rolling everywhere but now you do the army crawl. You get around fast!
• Your sleeping has gotten much better. You still wake to eat twice a night but you go right back to sleep. You take a morning and late afternoon nap.
• You are so chubby and I love it! Nothing cuter than a chubby baby!
• You are starting to learn to sign "please". Your motor skills aren't quite there yet but you'll have it soon!
• You don't babble too much yet but you like to "yell", usually when you're bored:)
  

You are my last baby and I am savoring every moment! What a sweet, precious girl we've been blessed with! We all love you so much and can't give you enough kisses!

And Then There Were 5!

Oh how time flies! We've added a new family member since I last posted. Miss Anna Sophia Langston joined us on June 29th, 2009. She's something special! All my kids are and I HAVE to start writing things down or I WILL forget. Now, granted, I'm probably the only one who finds their antics amusing but I've been told that they will ask about these things when they are older. I have to have something to tell them right? Like when Ava told me that she would marry Alex one day. We had a little conversation and I set her straight! Like Alex's current obsession with cowboy boots and running around half naked. Sweet Anna's milestones, which are happening so fast it makes me want to cry! One of my recent goals is to be more intentional about preserving memories. Whether it's writing our daily happenings here or putting pictures in albums, it's just so important!
